Memoria
Project Call to Action
Help us verify the
final list of victims' names! |
|
Red Bank, NJ – March 16, 2007 – The Memoria Project is about to
begin engraving the granite to complete our 9/11 tribute. We ask
families to ensure that their loved ones are represented properly.
Please help us by taking a moment to find your family member on our list
and contact us with any requests for changes by April 6, 2007.
Due to space limitations we have removed titles, such as military
prefixes, and initialized all middle names, except in specific cases
where inclusion was requested or necessary. In cases of different
spellings/variations occurring between the Associated Press and the New
York Medical Examiner's Office, we have defaulted to the second source
as being the more authoritative compilation
Please email us at
list@memoriaproject.com if you have any
questions or would like to submit a change.
The Memoria Project is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that was
formed by community members shortly after 9/11. During the summer of
2002, The Memoria Project carved two 20-ton marble statues on Sandy Hook
National Park. These statues were carved outdoors, where visitors and
surviving family members could watch and participate. The Project ran
over 35 educational programs surrounding the creation of these statues
including programs on stone carving, lectures on art history and special
programs for those who lost loved ones on 9/11.
